Natalie is two months old! We took her in for her check-up with the pediatrician yesterday, and she is doing really well. They are really happy with her growth and how well she eats. She is a big girl! She got a couple of shots, which weren't very fun, but they just love her over there. The nurse said that Natalie "talks" a lot more than the other 2-month-olds she sees. She likes to babble to me and to the toys hanging above her activity mat, but she is especially verbal when she's getting fed up with being alone. If I lay her down to get something done and she gets tired of entertaining herself, she will start talking, then calling out. Sometimes it almost sounds like she's saying hey, like "Hey, is anyone listening to me?"

Anyway, here are some tidbits about Natalie and some pictures from this month.
- Purposeful smiles! She smiles most when we pat her hands and sing to her, but she also smiles a lot on her changing pad and looking pictures on the wall. Oh, and when she licks things. I was doing some occupational therapy with her to get her to use her tongue better, and now when I touch her lip with my finger or the pacifier, she'll stick out her tongue to lick it and then smile. Sometimes I'll touch my cheek to her mouth so she can give me "kisses," and she thinks it's funny to stick her tongue out so I get licked.
- She knows when she wants her pacifier even if we don't suggest it by showing it to her.
- She also recognizes which pacifier she prefers. If we hold up the one she doesn't like, she turns her head away, but she opens her mouth when we hold up the one she likes. Clever girl!
- She throws a little fit in between bottles. We call it the milk tantrum. After she finishes her first bottle I put her on my shoulder to burp her. As soon as I start lifting her and she realizes I'm not going to put the bottle right back in her mouth, she gives a little shriek. Just one, then she's calm while I burp her. So funny.
- She's spitting up a lot less this month, and she's gotten good at getting those burps out a lot quicker.
- She's so glad when daddy comes home, glad as she could be. ;) She gives Jake lots of smiles when he picks her up after work.
- She had a little baby acne this month, which turned into dry skin on her ear. So she kept rubbing her ear with the back of her little hand. I felt bad for her, but it's better now.
- She's getting better at holding her head up.
- She likes to stand up. Jake will hold her standing on his lap, and she gets cranky when he sits her on her bum.
- We tried out the baby carrier this month. I wear her around the house to get a few things done sometimes, and she always falls asleep.
- She's wearing 0-3 and 3 month clothes, although some of these items barely fit.
- Sometimes she likes to just let her pacifier dangle out of her mouth (picture below). If it falls out, she wakes up and wants it back, only to immediately let it sag again. So I prop it against myself so it won't fall. Haha!
- She sleeps very loudly sometimes. There is a video below of some sleep noises she was making.

We took Natalie to the store in the outfit below, and someone thought she was a boy. How much pink does a girl need to wear?! Honestly! I give up.
Funny face!
"Ha! This bed is all mine!"
Baby yawns are so cute! And I just love those tights!
About to indulge in a hand feast.
She has such pretty blue eyes!
I can't get enough of these smiles!
Enjoying tummy time for once in her life.
A friend gave Natalie this adorable little winter dress! That furry little collar is just so cute. I think she likes it.
I can't believe the first two months are already behind us! We're having so much fun watching this girl grow!
