There are a few more expensive restaurants in the Provo area that Jake and I have been saving for "special occasions." However, we always forget about them when we actually have something to celebrate. So for Valentine's Day this year, I asked Jake if we could make a reservation at the Communal. It is a local restaurant that we have been wanting to try for over a year, and we have both heard very good things about it. We were both so excited about it (and so busy with school and work) that we both forgot to plan anything else for the evening. Dinner was delicious, but as soon as we were finished, we realized we would have to come up with something on the fly. Our idea: make valentines for each other while watching a movie. So we ran to campus to get some colored paper and to take some free bridal magazines that could be used for collages.
Here is what I gave him:
The inside:
This is what Jake gave me for Valentine's:
And the inside:
Yes, that is one of our engagement pictures. Jake cut us out of it and cut around my fingers so that he could put a heart in my hand. This is so gross, and so funny.
Until next Valentine's Day.
