Natalie is one whole month old! We just love watching her learn, change, and grow! Here are a few pictures and some little tidbits about our one month old.
Tidbits
- She weighs 10 lbs. 1 oz.
- She can hold her head up for several seconds while on her tummy, and she can turn it from side to side.
- She struggles between the hours of 6 and 9pm. She just wants to be held during these hours.
- She is awake more between naps. She's so fun when she is happy and awake!
- She loves looking at the pictures we have up on the walls. It may be the contrast of the frames. She studies them intently with her big blue eyes.
- She's smiling a bit more. It's almost starting to seem purposeful, like when we kiss her cheeks.
- I've also heard one giggle, but again, it wasn't purposeful.
- She's starting to recognize when she's about to be fed.
- She loves her cherry flavored vitamin D supplement.
- I think she can tell the difference between night and day. She is pretty good about going right back to sleep after her feedings at night, and she sleeps for longer stretches (sometimes around 5.5 hours).
- She falls asleep in the car. I'm sure this trick will come in handy.
- She spits up all the time!
- As soon as she is released from her swaddle, she throws both hands over her head in celebration of their freedom.
- She is learning to like her baths a little better. She doesn't scream bloody murder the entire time anymore.
- She has a session of the hiccups at least once a day.
- Sometimes she makes the cutest little noise that sounds like she's saying "goo."
- She has been called a few nicknames, like Little Pooper, Rascal Baby, and Little Nipper.
- We think she looks a bit like my baby pictures. See below.

Here are a few outtakes from the one month photo. This one captures the way she loves to look out the window. It's one of her favorite places to look. That's actually what she's doing in the picture above as well!
This one is just so funny! She looks like she's threatening to distribute knuckle sandwiches!
