Meet Natalie!

Natalie Adams finally arrived! She was born on Dec. 30th at 9:52 pm by emergency c-section. She was 8 lbs. 2 oz. and 21.5 inches long. Sorry I didn't post about it sooner, but we've had our hands full with this little girl. :) I'll post the birth story later, sans the gory details. Meanwhile, enjoy these photos and a few tidbits about Natalie.

It's hard to capture a newborn in a photo. Seems whenever we try to take a picture, she pulls some weird face or the angle makes her look weird.

She does this one a lot...the head scratcher.

Also a very common pose...the hand feast.

Jake loves this action shot.

We blessed Natalie at home the Sunday after she was born (when she was six days old) so that family could be there. My parents were staying with us, and Jake's dad dropped by for a few hours on layover in Detroit. It was nice to have some family there. We missed all of you who weren't able to be there!

Here's our little angel all dressed up. My mom crocheted the dress, and Jake's mom crocheted the blanket. What a lucky little granddaughter!

This is the face she makes when she's done eating. It's one of my personal favorites. Nothing is getting past those lips. She will also crane her neck back as far as possible. So funny.

She puts her little arm up by her chin when she sleeps. It's so cute! And look at those little crossed ankles.

She wore this outfit exactly once. She's a long girl, and that onesie got too short very quickly.

I call this pose the Ferris Bueller. Compare and contrast at your leisure. ;) (Oh, and yes, that is a blanket on her changing pad because she pooped on BOTH of the covers in the same day! Guess we need to get more of those.)

Needless to say, we are just in love with little Natalie! Look forward to many more posts about her in the future.
